Episode 3: Fantastic Films Weekend Preview Special #ffwfest

This episode is a bit rough, and the bulk of it is interview with Tony Earnshaw, which we cut down from well over 2 hours (and that was the stuff the recording equipment was on for). The sound quality is a bit patchy (for which read: awful) in places.

You can fully expect us to do a post FFW episode very soon. After that we should be back to what passes for normal around here, and we’ll be looking at some of the stuff you voted for in our poll. And our review of The Stone Tape. And, of course, we’ll be examining the UNIT dating controversy.

But for now, this should keep you busy on the journey to Bradford. <a href=”http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1672237/Baggage%20Man%20Episode%203.mp3”>Enjoy</a>.

A very short and very apologetic insert before we get episode 3 proper out.

Episode 2: Oh God! Oh Jesus Christ!

Episode 2 is finally here. Features include Christopher Lee’s performance as Dracula, Christopher Eccleston’s performance as the Doctor, The Wicker Man, James Bond Continuity, From Beyond the Grave, and of course the audience participation topic and competition.

News of a sort

  • We have definitely decided to be fortnightly rather than weekly, at least until after my operation. I don’t have the spoons for weekly at the moment, and we decided it was better to give ourselves room than stress.
  • We have an interview lined up with A Famous Person* already! We’ll hopefully be running it in our New Year Special, which will be out on the 5th of January.
  • Thank you to all those of you who have participated in our audience participation topic. We’ve only had one entry for the competition so far, though, so it looks like is going to be getting a signed photo of us… ;)
  • We have a massive 21 subscribers so far, which is not bad considering how amateurish our first ep was, and how little publicity we can afford. Thanks to all of you who have subscribed. You rule.
  • I have been messing about with layout and stuff while I have been listening to the cricket tonight (OMG THE ASHES!) and I think it looks a lot better now, and is clear and stuff. What do you lot think?

* OK, more famous than us. But we’re not talking Christopher Lee or anything. Before anyone gets TOO excited.

Episode One

It’s here! Slightly delayed by me being ill, rough as a badger’s arse and stitched together like Frankenstein’s monster, here is Episode One of My God! It’s the Baggage Man!

Apologies for the sound quality. We’re still learning, and our equipment is rudimentary to say the least. But we’ll get better!

Coming Soon… My God! It’s the Baggage Man!

… a podcast about all things geeky. Find out what louche flapping is, and why it matters to you. Discover if the eighth doctor really was half human, and why Christopher Lee’s facial hair made the seventies worthwhile. Who is the mysterious Miss Jones? When is a remake not a remake? And what was Nigel Planer doing with the Michael Jackson Glove o’ Doom?

All these questions and more will be answered in episode 1 of My God! It’s the Baggage Man!

Coming soon. Can you afford to miss it?
